Blue shared bikes from Blue-bike

Not a member of Blue-bike yet? An annual subscription costs only €12. This allows you to rent a bike at a very affordable rate in many cities and municipalities. In Kortrijk, a cheaper rate is applied: the first 24 hours cost only €1.

How it works:

  1. Become a member via the Blue-bike website.
  2. Rent the bike, with insurance, using your personal card at a bike point.
  3. Both your bike and card are scanned; manually during opening hours or 24/7 at a key machine (main bike point in Kortrijk: Minister Tacklaan, back of the station and on platform 1 of the station in Kortrijk).
    1. Pay afterwards, monthly via direct debit.

Electrice shared scooters from Hoppy

How it works:

  1. Download the app.
  2. Find the nearest scooter via the app (you can even reserve your scooter up to half an hour before your departure).
  3. Hop on and go: unlock the scooter via the app (scan the QR code).
  4. Park your scooter in a safe place where it doesn't obstruct anyone.
  5. End the rental by locking the scooter and finishing the rental in the app.

Green shared bikes from Mobit

A green shared bike from Mobit offers you flexibility in Kortrijk and the surrounding areas. You pay per ride, per day, or choose a subscription plan.

How it works:

You can choose from several options: a 3-month subscription, a day pass, or a single ride that you pay for at the end of use.

  1. Download the 'Mobit smart sharing' app.
  2. Choose an available bike in a drop-off zone (city center of Kortrijk: in existing bike racks). In the app, you can see at a glance where you can pick up or drop off a bike. You can also find Mobit hubs in surrounding cities and municipalities. So, you can easily cycle from Kortrijk to a nearby municipality or vice versa. The locations where you can pick up or drop off a bike can be found on the Mobit website.
  3. Unlock the bike via the app (connect to the lock via Bluetooth, it opens automatically).
  4. Lock and unlock the bike as often as you like.
  5. End the rental by bringing the bike to a drop-off location, locking the bike, and ending the rental in the app.

Hourly rates:

  • 1st hour: €0.60 / 20 minutes (For rides shorter than 5 minutes, a discounted rate of €0.29 applies)
  • 2nd hour: €0.65 / 20 minutes
  • 3rd hour: €0.80 / 20 minutes
  • Subsequent hours: €1.00 / 20 minutes

Day pass: €3 Subscription: €45 for 3 months (300 coupons for rides of 60 minutes over a period of 3 months)

Electric cargo bikes from Monkey Donkey

Head out with the bike and bring along your picnic gear, kubb set, swimming gear... The company Monkey Donkey provides 5 electric cargo bikes in Kortrijk.

How it works:

  1. First time? Register in advance and link your payment card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
  2. Reserve and unlock the cargo bike via the Monkey Donkey app.
  3. The shared cargo bikes have fixed parking spots. When you borrow a cargo bike, return it to the same spot. There are several locations to choose from:
    • Fietskot: Leiestraat 24
    • Plein: in the covered bike parking at Plein 33
    • Sint-Amandsplein: at the intersection of Sint-Amandsplein and Overleiestraat in the bike parking next to Overleiestraat 30
    • Veemarkt: in the bike parking next to stair tower C of the underground parking
    • Rijkswachtstraat: in the bike parking next to the entrance to the Deelfabriek

Rates:

  • With a monthly subscription of €10, you pay €3.5/hour, €35 per day (24 hours), or a weekend rate (48 hours) of €60.
  • Without the monthly subscription, you pay €7/hour, €50/day (24 hours), or €75/weekend (48 hours).
